I just actively working on becoming more active on a couple of social media platforms, one of the being Substack and got my first subscriber today. Hopefully, I won't have the issues you encountered.

I would only wish it on my worst enemies, of which I have none, and of while you are not, either. So, I definitely hope that it doesn't happen to you.

Well, hell. What a PITA. Serious food for thought.

Holy cow. Er, goat. What a crazy few days. Glad you made it through, Russell!

You can't be alone in this kind of experience. I wonder whether other big-list people find themselves in Convertkit too, just because ConvertKit is willing to look at the larger context of a user's list data analysis? There must be other big-list-friendly CRMs out there besides Convertkit.

If not, Convertkit may find itself hosting ALL the biggest indie authors & creatives & entrepreneurial types, just because it doesn't shut an account down entirely when something goes sideways (but the usual pattern is not spammy).

Yeah there are some other ones that deal with big lists, but I like converkit best

I was curious how on the plan to integrate Convertkit and Substack. I really like ConvertKit too, but couldn't wrap my mind around how to have ConvertKit and Substack, they seem a little redundant, but I also see how they can create a large ecosystem too. I like the idea of maybe having an evergreen newsletter in convertkit and a weekly broadcast and maybe making substack more exclusive. Or vice versa, this is probably something that needs to be played around with.

I'm sorry about your experience with your growth team, that's frustrating, but I hope things work out.

I set up zapier integrations between my gmail and convertkit. Convertkit is how I run my business. Substack is how I run one small part of my business.
