"I am overwhelmed"

I’ve talked to a lot of authors in the past year. I’ve been helping guide authors for years, but in 2022 I feel like I talked to more authors than in the last decade combined. Whether at RAM in Houston, 20books in Vegas, or online, there has been a consistent fear that weaved its way through all of them.

I am overwhelmed.

By the sheer scope of what there is to learn about publishing, by the constant pressures of life beating down on you, by shiny ball syndrome, and by the desire to get to the next level by having no idea how to do it.

Many of you have tried every platform without success, and have very little energy left to try something new. Some of you are just beginning your journey into publishing, while others of you have been doing it for years. Maybe you have an outline of your first book, or maybe you've written 100.
