I spent the morning updating all my articles with a “Leave us a tip” option, and I already got one!

This is a “one-time payment” option that doesn’t force people to buy a subscription and then cancel it immediately afterward.

Technically, it’s a gray area in the Substack TOS whether you can have a payment processor off Substack.

I think it’s on the “okay” side of the line b/c Substack doesn’t offer it as a service in the same way it doesn’t offer courses.

You can use Stripe to create one by going here.

Then, all you have to do is set your price (or let customers pay what they want) and it will generate a link, like this one.

I made mine through Thrivecart b/c it’s what I know and it allows for multiple payment options. It looks like this.

Thrivecart is a pricy one-time fee, but I made it back in the first month by doing a sale. You can get it here if you want to go that way (just FYI, that’s an affiliate link).
