Debrief of our $13,551 "12 Concepts for Authors to Make $8333/Month (6-Figures/Year)" campaign

Another campaign in the bag. How did it go?

and I just finished our campaign for $8333: 12 Concepts to Six Figures a Year. That is a mouthful of a book, ain’t it? Yes, it is. So, how did it go?

This is the first time we’ve left “late pledges” on for a campaign, so it will probably be higher than this when you read the article, but overall I’m non-plussed (the US definition) by this campaign. We expected $20k and it raised $13k, which isn’t great, but also…it’s $13k, and I’m not going to sneeze at that kind of cash injection right now.

We decided to run this campaign during our show season, when we had NINC, RAM, and Author Nation. It just so happens you can run a campaign that just barely catches all three of them.

While we have been pushing our conference hard at these shows, we have always seen conferences are better for selling books than conference tickets for some reason. So, we’ve always tried to have a Kickstarter live during this season, at least for Author Nation, and 20books before it, since it skews toward earlie…
